Following the expansion of PIDCL’s mandate, the Urban Planning Department has been strengthened with highly qualified and experienced planning professionals. The Department provides expertise in urban and regional planning, master planning, land use planning, infrastructure planning, urban design, development frameworks, and sustainable development strategies to support orderly urban growth and the efficient utilization of land and infrastructure resources.

The Department also undertakes planning studies & feasibility assessments and provides technical advisory services for public sector development projects, ensuring that planning solutions are sustainable, integrated, and responsive to national and regional development objectives.

The Urban Planning Department is headed by the Manager Urban Planning and functions under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), with operational coordination through the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
