The Engineering Department serves as the principal technical arm of PIDCL, providing comprehensive engineering services throughout the entire project lifecycle. The department is responsible for the preparation and review of PC-I documents, engineering designs, technical specifications, cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documents. It also oversees technical evaluations, construction supervision, quality assurance, contract administration support and project execution monitoring to ensure that all projects are delivered in accordance with approved standards, timelines, and budgets.

Department is headed by the General Manager Engineering (North) and General Manager Engineering (South) respectively and functions under the overall supervision of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Department is supported by Managers Technical, Project Monitoring, and Contracts & Procurement, forming a multidisciplinary team.
